So we've uncovered that much of the threads constantly spammed on Anon Babble (the ones spammed round the clock nonstop and quickly reach 50 replies within an hour's time) are ran by bot networks--many highly suspected to be of fed ownership. But what if they're not? And what goes into running these things? Are they expensive? This stuff predates generative AI by at least 4 years, so how is it done?

Example threads highly suspected to be run by bots:

Most of these threads are posted around the clock, in the same format every time. Some of them have two going at once. Interaction happens in unnatural, not especially context-dependent ways. This used to be a thing with the secrets thread too, which mysteriously disappeared after anons started taking notice.

OP have we managed to actually confirmm these are bots with hard evidence? Or is it just speculation? I ask because we need to be accurate if we can, and furthermore avoid going down Anon Babbletard routes and saying it's all the feds or the jews or some shit (not to mention bringing politics in would be just stupid and distracting)

They post around the clock without any break for sleeping or anything. A new one was just created. Try reacting to the posts. You'll notice the bot nature over time

It would be nice if there was a way to see further under the hood. Is there a way of seeing the IP addresses posts come fromm,, or finding at least which posts were posted by the same person?

The fact that people havve trouble posting without falling foul of the fifteen mminute filter but there are still loads of spam threads seemms relevant but not sure why

This is likely. We still don't think it's a bunch of fed posters paid to post 24 hours a day. It's still more than likely to be a network of bot accounts. Not to say there aren't most definitely agents paid to lurk this board. But I'd wager it's less than 10. They certainly aren't being paid to manually upload images and react to things 24 hours a day.

You have to think about the public perception of this board when those fed contracts were likely made. At the time, even (4+4)chan was relatively new. This place was seen as a national security threat. Moot got gag ordered up the ass. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those contracts just remained in place over ten years.

Remember, the point of Operation Anon Babblereadbasket isn't to somehow make those threads go away. It's to triple the traffic on Anon Babble from anons that are on other boards so that those threads only make up the minority in an echosystem full of fast-paced win. There's nothing to be demoralized about that. Certainly not after the carrington event that was 4/1/25.
