You underestimate how hard it is to get a job. I've applied to hundreds and only just recently got a job as a delivery driver. Haven't had my first shift yet but I bet they'll have an unrealistic quota target for me that wont take account of traffic
When I heard about that dude who used AI to send 35 resumes a week, and only hear back after 3 months, I stopped looking.
Did something similar, not as sophisticated, always reviewed the resumes manually, never got a reply in a month, I think I send out 3-4 a day.
Will bother applying when it even goes somewhere. Lots of businesses "hiring" around here.

I've had the same job for 10 years, just recently was offered a senior position but it would require a move, or I can wait a year or so for a senior position to open where I currently work. The pay is $5 more per hour, and the day to day work is easier, but I'm happy where I am and it more than pays the bills. Last year I dropped 20k into my savings and haven't touched a cent of it.
