The drugs (there are three) are cheap as fuck. I'm pay like $200 a year all up. BUT you have to be on the drugs for 2-3 years before surgery (don't go early, it's always a mistake).

And this is what causes tranny brain. Because the brain develops in the third trimester, after the Y-chromosome has done everything it's ever going to do. If there is a disruption to the hormonal balance during the third trimester the brain won't develop to match the genitals. For the first six years of life this isn't a problem because the brain isn't developed enough to actually understand gender. But as the child gets closer to puberty behavioural problems which are often misdiagnosed as autism or neurological delay or even ADHD start to become apparent.
In puberty it becomes a real problem. Because the genitals don't listen to the brain. In the case of transwomen they're going to switch on and flood the body with testosterone which sends the brain into a talespin and causes the skeleton to devlop masculine. There is the potential for 1 in 20 biochemical reactions to be differentially affected in male versus female cells.
In female cells, X chromosome inactivation is an imperfect process, and even when it does occur, there are still genes in the inactivated chromosome that remain active. This huge difference in gene dosage is what leads to greater X-linked traits in females than in males; you cannot "turn on female genes" by taking HRT because you don't have the genes to turn on in the first place.

Genetics and hormones are two halves of the same thing. Genes create hormones and hormones activate genes. That's how cells communicate down at the cellular level.
Your endocrine system, which controls your hormones, is how your body gets all of your cells on the same page. And your gonads (your testicles or ovaries) are part of that system.
The gonads develop in the first trimester according to the presence or absense of a Y-chromosome. They immediately start producing testosterone or estrogen depending on which way they go and THAT decides how the rest of your cells develop.
If something exogenous comes along in the third trimester when the central nervous system develops to disrupt that hormonal balance, your brain wont develop to match your genitals. Your Y-chromosome doesn't play a role here or anywhere else. It did it's thing, it's done.
Which means a transwoman is born with a female nervous system and a male endocrine system. Naturally these things don't get along.
And there are two theoretical ways to fix this. Fix the nervous system to be male, which is not even conceivable technologically.
Or fix the endocrine system to be female, which is actually easy as fuck to do with exogenous hormones.
Once that's done you now have a female nervous system and a female endocrine system working together in harmony. That is a female.
