Time to pay up

No, child. I won’t.

Cool propaganda. No thanks, though.

Forbes is propaganda

Trumptards are really something else

t. dnc sheep

I don't like Trump at all and Forbes has always looked like propaganda to me as well. I don't think that's a particulary political statement. They sell space on their site for opinion pieces. Of course there will be propaganda.

You said the same thing when we said tarriffs would crash the economy or that COVID was real.

You said the same thing

No one said this.

Proof?

Proof?

Compiled as potential evidence should any harm come to my rocket daddy

Does America have access to all the rare elements needed for high tech or not?

NO

Does America have all the elements needed for continuing with their Military Industrial Complex weapons as well as top end metals?

No.

Does America loses ally security and ally markets in that security increase American costs in procurement, research and development?

Yes

Does America have a stupid media channel omitting what is obvious truths and using tin foil hat fools instead of experts to keep the viewers in the dark.

Yes, that is called Fox News Entertainment. Other countries won't have it.

Trump is literally doing everything he can that a foreign enemy would desire. Running an economy into the ground, cutting of supply routes and his supporters waving flags.

Eat fart

Literal CNN propaganda. Bought and paid for by China.

Let XCKD explain what Trump is actually doing, in pictures and words so you might understand.

Let me know if you disagree, and why

Americans are going to ban themselves from the internet

I'm okay with this!

what's wrong with that? Trump and Vance and those faggots are putting the US up for sale, better prepare your faggot asshole for NOLUBE

Ameripoors are too retarded, what precious little they did export is going to get nixed, they lack the capacity, workforce or capital to ramp up production fast enough to meet domestic demand and will experience hyper inflation due to still having to import good with the tariffs on top!

Macroeconomics isn't microeconomics but bigger.

A national trade imbalance can have a lot of negative consequences. In America's case they don't apply because of the Bretton Woods system where US dollars are used as the reserve currency of the rest of the world. Basically American dollars, and only American dollars, are actually somewhat like a commodity that can be exported and there is always significant demand for it.

What Trump is doing right now is threatening the stability of that system. Banks REALLY don't like having the stability of the system threatened, so they're all tightening their loan criteria, increasing their premiums (that's the difference between the interest they pay and the interest they charge), and just generally making moves to deal with the risk.

That part doesn't affect Americans too much, BUT if the system does actually break down and we move to a multi-currency reserve, or some other system, that's going to be really bad for Americans because now you won't be protected from the problems caused by a trade deficit.

America was given a lot of special privileges in the post WW2 global order, right now the world is looking at the situation and assessing whether or not to take some of those privileges away. And just that discussion is enough to upset the financial system.

That's not how hyperinflation works. Hyperinflation is when a currency loses it's usefulness as a medium of transaction.

Americans will just get normal inflation.

Hyperinflation is when a currency loses it's usefulness as a medium of transaction.

Bingo! If people aren't transacting in US dollars anymore this will impact the currency, genuine cost increases + devaluation of currency will give stark price inflation

Only one issue - the US isn't in a trade deficit. It's in a widget trade deficit - not the same thing

t. watches american movies and tv shows in his mudhut

You said it. Now where is your proof?

The way I have often explained it is that America has always been able to write cheques which are never cashed thanks to the US Dollar being the base currency for so many international transactions. It looks like Trump is proactively trying to end this which will result in these "cheques" being "cashed" (essentially another currency, probably the Euro, being used for these transactions) and the US being completely unable to dig themselves out of the massive hole they will find themselves in

China is a strange case because rather than investing the wealth they have generated in improving the lives of their own citizens, they have massively invested in US Government Debt, so they have America over a very large fiscal barrel!

As of November 2024, China held approximately $768.6 billion in U.S. Treasury securities, representing about 8.9% of foreign-held U.S. debt, though Japan remains the largest foreign holder

you get over-barreled all the time by 8% niggs don't you

Stick figure propaganda is still propaganda.

I can't argue against the message so I'll call it propaganda

Forbes is clickbait.

sorry but i rather just buy a gun and shoot you for one at that price. bangitybangers

Trumptards are really something else

Did you only just realize this? Basically any news outlet that doesn't slurp the cum of their glorious leader is propaganda or fake news

Yeah, I mean ironically enough it's probably actually a good thing for the rest of the world.
I'm not American, so the short term turmoil is going to suck, but the long term effects of "de-americanizing" the global system will provide more resilience and create efficiencies.

I really don't understand Trump this term. Last time was all peace and love, this time it's baseball bat in a china shop.

I'm not American

Opinion discarded.

ALL American media is fake news.
Journalistic standards ended when Millennials started getting their news from Jon Stewart and the concept of "news entertainment" was born.

You lot LOVE to blame Fox News, but the reality is that Fox News just took what Jon Stewart did and scaled it up.
