I was working DoorDash for a while but my car broke down from a bad alternator and I lost that gig. Then I lost the Uber Eats gig. Then I did Instacart for a while and that was okay but I ended up losing that too. So what the fuck should I do now? I'm not killing myself so don't even start that shit.

If you want more money get a job, if you're fine living like this then don't get a job.

If you cant afford college, save up for it/goto a community college or technical school.

They're all great options. Problem is, I have fucking autism and PTSD so I defeat any good shit that I even start to begin. I could easily have the state pay for my college. I almost did before. That's not an issue for me. And yeah, I could get a job but I'm literally limited to an extra $1,620 per month. Most of these dumb ass places would put me over that SGA limit which would cause me to lose my benefits. The only fucking real reason why I stay on disability is because of my medical coverage. That's pretty much it. I could go find a job that makes me a hell of a lot more money.

Most alternators are only mounted by a couple bolts. One bolt is a pivot point and the other slides along a bracket to control belt tension. You get both bolts loose and relieve tension on the belt, unplug the wires from the alternator. Then totally unbolt them and remove bad alternator. Mount new alternator in reverse process and apply tension to belt again. Plug in wires.

I could probably do it in under 10 minutes if I tried.

Was on a double delivery, went to a food truck (a bunch of food trucks on a plot of land ran by hispanics), so I get there for the order and it's a routine type of thing I've done thousands of times. pick the order up, the people were cool as shit, get in my car, the fucking thing won't turn over. So I call AAA because I thought it was the battery or I just needed a jump. I get a jump, drive towards the customers house and it dies again. So I fucking had the thing towed, DoorAss told me to keep the orders. Check my account a little while later and I was deactivated.

Unplug alternator connector + power cable

Remove alternator mounting bolts (2–3 bolts)

Pull alternator out carefully

Install new alternator, reverse steps

Reinstall belt, reconnect battery, start & test
