Nobody forced me to get vaccinated, in hindsight. I just kept my mouth shut and my head down. Whenever anyone asked, I would be like "yeah, I turned in that little card" and would stall for time.

In Australia you were required to get vaccinated to work, and employers were heavily fined if they employed people that weren't vaccinated. So yes, while nobody was physically forced, it was either get the jab, or lose your job, home, starve etc.

It depended on the state you lived in. So no, it was not a right wing conspiracy. It was over-exaggerated, but it was real. In my state, you had to get the vax or get tested every single week. PCR tests were inaccurate as fuck and had lots of false positives. So you'd inevitably be out of work when the test came back positive. Thankfully it got overturned quickly. It lasted about 5 months in my state. Leftists love to talk about how right wingers make shit up, but leftists always deny reality.
