Anyways, if you were actually trying to bring back a species like Anocyon dirus, you'd still probably be producing these hybrid animals in 2 or 3 stages on your way to creating as close to a full blood Anocyon as possible, grabbing for the brass ring in one shot is not realistic. - a global recession triggered by tariffs and the on-again-off-again uncertainty of an incompetent regime

- the blatant corruption wherein insiders profit from the uncertainty and brag about it because laws no longer apply, even a little bit
- high ranking members of the regime hiding their communications on Signal when they should be public record accessible to people who hold public officials accountable (eg, via FOIA request)
- the erasure of international faith in the consistency of the United States, making future dealings impossible
- the dismantling of 80 years of US hegemony, which guaranteed favorable trade between the US and dozens of small producers. (China will take them.)
- the imprisonment of anyone from the US in a foreign gulag in El Salvador. (Clear violation of 8th Amendment against cruel and unusual punishment.)
- the disappearing of anyone from the US without due process
- the disappearing of anyone from the US because of their legally protected free speech
- the flaunting of oversight from the judiciary with no consequences
