25 minute drive to a state park is something I haven't taken advantage of for most of my life but past few years have changed that. Though you are right, pretty much why I go there is all the critters. I've gotten pretty good at sneaking up on them too, there's a path right on the river that usually has a pack of deer. I think there's two different species, I haven't gotten good enough to sneak up one of them but the kind of deer you think of when you see the word deer are easy enough not to spook
