Wait until you learn about hangul

Latin alphabet mogs this shit so hard.
Those moonrunes are straight up retarded.

Doom. Luckily you can just go back.

japanese specifically has one of the most retarded writing systems in the world. they spend their entire primary school learning how to read and they think that this is normal. fewer and fewer people there even bother learning how to handwrite kanji because of technology and the system will naturally die off at some point in the future.

the only reason I try to learn some japanese is so I can play some untranslated h-games.
Practically all asia's alphabet is dumb and it gives the sense that they maintain it just for exclusivism

Kanji is more used than ever precisely because of technology retard

QRD?

Ignore that guy he's retarded
Hangul is really well-designed and easy to learn compared to kanji / hanzi

retarded picture, as expected from a weeaboo

hurr let's draw some things that look like the word

let's completely ignore the tree losing it's leaves, water not looking like that at all and the fact we almost put down 'door' three times in a row

Based overconfident retard

it's typed more than ever (using latin alphabet keyboards) but it's written less and less. the question is whether you think a single writing system will outlive the need to handwrite things in the first place. the japanese writing system has already gone through multiple reforms and it wasn't for no fucking reason.

Yeah but the complexity of kanji is precisely why Japan and China have the highest average IQ.

Japan has this weird habit of taking a Chinese invention, copying it, and then adding an absolute shitload of unnecessary complications on top of it for no discernable reason. It's the exact same thing with mahjong. Chinese mahjong is a perfectly acceptable game. Japanese mahjong requires fucking calculus to learn your score. They're like the Chicago of Asia, just fucking everything up and calling it culture.

If you watch Japanese streamers the regularity with which they struggle to read their own language is alarming. It is an almost universal issue of them misreading shit or stumbling across kanji they don't recognise.

Explain.

Aren't they also context sensitive or some shit?

I was shocked when I realized how much easier Mandarin is compared to Japanese, because every retarded article I read online said, “Dude, Chinese is the toughest language in the world, it’s literally impossible.”

It's not complex, there are just a lot of them. It's pure memorization.

I COULD KILL YOU AND YOUR PET ROCK WITH ONE PUNCH DON'T TEST ME

Isn't Mandarin grammar really simple? It don't even have a plural form.

Yes, you aren't supposed to memorize kanji, you just memorize entire words. Then you compare words to other words with completely different meanings that use similar kanji but with one slight difference, and then you memorize that slight difference so you don't mess them up.

Thinking about learning a new language?
Considering Chinese vs. Japanese?

Decide on Chinese!

Mandarin is the most spoken language in the world

Over a billion native speakers
Communicate with way more people globally

China's economy is huge

Biggest markets, lots of business opportunities
Impress companies with your Chinese skills

Grammar is stupid easy

No conjugations, tenses, or plurals
Just slap words together and go

Characters look cool and have meaning

Learn one word and understand a bunch of related ones

Tones aren't that bad once you get used to them

It's like singing!

Japanese has three alphabets, Chinese just has one

No need to learn kanji, hiragana, AND katakana
Feel like a genius when you finally crack the code

More people to practice with online

Chinese internet is massive
Find language partners everywhere

Flex on your friends

Weebs think Japanese is cool, but Chinese is the real deal

Choose Chinese!
No regrets!

I just copy-pasted this from the archive

Japanese streamers

Vtumors barely count as human, buddy.

Chink sounds very unpleasant to my ear.
I can't even repeat what I'm hearing.

Yeah not only is the grammar braindead easy, each character also has one meaning unlike japanese where one character has multiple meanings and you need to know the specific context

communicate with 100 million people

or

communicate with 1 billion insects

each character also has one meaning

Not entirely true, worsened by the simplification process, face and flour are now the same for example.

all of you changz look the same to me takeshi

symbolist languages are bad for communication and that's all there is to it
gooks need to drop their runes
I just copy-pasted this from the archive
I understand, but I will still respond sincerely.

>Mandarin is the most spoken language in the world

False. That would be English.

Impress companies with your Chinese skills

I've heard that Chinese is very context sensitive, so even if you are able to make a coherent sentence, you still won't sound native.

No conjugations, tenses, or plurals

This is actually off-putting to me. This is one of the things I dislike about English as well.

It's like singing!

Because of my stuttering, I can barely speak even in my native language. It's like a spasm in my jaw, throat, and lungs. I don't think I could handle a tonal language.

No need to learn kanji, hiragana, AND katakana

You only need to learn the by far worse of those 3.

And here I was, just about to discuss some video games...

Pewdiepie, on the bridge, his butt hurt.

look at it from the other perspective.
their moon runes have some direct if abstract route to the thing being designated.
our moon runes take a detour over the pronunciation of the word designating the thing.
our moon runes are objectively more abstract.

more abstract

now make of that what you will.
people learn to speak anyway. western moon runes attach to that with a simple system hooking the writing up to the talking.
with the asian moon runes, you seem to need to learn two languages individually, one for speaking, one for writing.

five nights at freddies
animal crossing
i am a closed platform
final fantasy

hope you had fun

>>>>if abstract route

that's the key phrase here. even the one thing it's good at, it's still shit at. what's the fucking point, then?
the thing that our alphabet is good at (bridging reading and writing), it's VERY good at.

you dont like china? you must be japanese!

what kind of retarded projection is that?
