Someone online even said the Earth chan design with the continent hair is the "laziest character design (they could) think of", and I understand why. One could see it as just "objectifying ---> draw generic anime girl and add the object to her hair".

Well, I had a very very very bad moment once where I made a picture of autism chan's waifu and made a very fundamental error in characterizing her (she's a god tier artist, and I depicted her making meh pictures). Since that day, I now religiously and thoroughly research characters that I make art of so it doesn't happen again. That included when I drew Relm in the "thank you" image I made with all those characters. I know a lot about her, even if it's probably small compared to someone who actually played her game, and nothing compared to what you know.
