Looking for some honest feedback. I wrote the lyrics but the rest was made with Suno, a lot of prompting, and a lot of generations.

it really is.. some generations i give it a ton of direction and it misses entirely - switch to just [Verse 1] tags + style prompt for my lyrics and its amazing... then vice versa... there doesn't seem to be one single formula - and their Persona feature is hit or miss too...
Until they get it to the point where it's less random, I feel it's just a fun toy. Good to brainstorm and fucj around with. Not good enough for production quality though.

Bro, the problem with all that, Suno gets confused. The more you add to it, the harder it gets to give you what you want. It seems backwards, but it's not advanced enough. but I absolutely do not hate it. and you're right, the drummer is killing it! and the way it paused everything and the guitar riff kept going was great! i hate that it's so hard to even direct something THAT simple.

You're a good writer. It was actually so good I was skeptical and had to ask. It's one thing to have an idea for a song or instrumental and let the AI do all the work, but actually writing a song takes talent. I always thought I was pretty good at writing, but I could never put the leody or full compilation in my head. Suno fills that gap and I was shocked how well my songs turned out. I'll definitely be ponying up the $8 for the upgrade the next time I get some money on my card.
I really enjoyed this, a little haunting, and her voice is great.
Writing lyrics is easy, but they also get reworked a lot. I usually just wrote some shit real quick, then generate a version knowing it will be ass. Then I fix all the obvious bad stuff, the lines that stick out, or where I was lazy and just made a rhyme to keep the song going. It rare the first go is good, lyrically and musically.

I had to run my lyrics through Suno a few times before it generated the vibe and flow I had in mind. i was running my third song when i ran out of credits for the day.
But other than that, It doesn't rework my lyrics at all unless it's using existing line for addional filler at key points or after to fill more time.
