Absolutely useless, from what I've understood all it really is is a curated SNS program that instead of teaching you how the language works teaches you phrases and snippets that you will never ever see in the real world.
Immersion is the only way to learn a language. it is the method everyone learned their first language with and it is the method they must learn every other language.
There are things that can aid in this process such as before mentioned grammar references and dictionaries but even they dont really do that much, all they actually do is give you a vague understanding of how something works or what something means but they still leave it up to the brain to make the connections itself.
This is why you might hear grammar in one sentence and know what it means but have no idea what it means in another unless you really really think hardly about it and try to understand the sentence from all the clues given, meaning even the aids that are helpful are more about making the learning process less frustrating.
When one immerses they consume content written by speakers of the language for speakers of the language and not some handpicked slop, its real world grammar versus handpicked grammar that is dumbed down to level only a baby would use.
Not only that the brain is actually forced to engage in understanding and making the connections instead of simply memorizing.
