According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average salary for a police officer in the United States is around $65,400 per year. Police have to deal with crazy people and violent domestic disputes, risking their entire life everyday to keep people safe.
That's a real shame. I'm surprised there isn't a President pushing for higher pay and incentives for police. Cops should be getting paid more for the risks they take to sequester crime and protect civilians they don't even know. Why are cops scrutinized so much in America? More police officers are killed each year in America compared to any other country. To be a cop anywhere in the US takes balls of steel and I applaud anyone out there that works in law enforcement. Thank you.
