Maybe, but I don't know. All my friends lived moles away in my hometown. It was small for California, but it was spread out. So we only saw each other at school or if we could convince our parents to have sleep overs.
I spent most of my childhood alone. I used to deliberately isolate myself from others. I had one of those captain6beds that has the chest of drawers underneath it. My bed had a cabinet as well that I used to crawl inside of and close the door on and spend hours in there. When I was forced to interact with others I would throw temper tantrums until I was allowed to go home and be by myself.
