It's pretty different. They have the same foundations like exposure, shutter speed, etc. But with photography, I only have to worry about composing a single frame. Video requires audio, actors, changing focus during recording, etc. Super different tbh. My advice would be: get a "real" camera. One that does both photos and video so you can switch back and forth playing around to figure out what you like. Maybe take some photography courses or watch some youtube videos to learn all the basic concepts. A class might be better as it's interactive and can be a better starting point for someone who's a novice and doesn't know much. They can point you in a good direction and help sus out what you actually like.
