The origional draft of the declaration of independence had no mention of being endowed by a creator, but only mentioned that our equal "creation" endowed is with the right to defend our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

"Through creation" is a broad term that can include birth. Inalienable rights given to you because you were born a human being with intelligence and free-will.

Both versions of that document were written by humans who were influenced more by good beer than divine inspiration.
