Lighter pigment evolved because the climate is colder and people see less sunlight. They need more vitamin D and less protection from the sunlight. Likewise these climates also have brutal winter that requires the ability to plant for the future to survive the winter.

It's two major factors:
1. About a half century ago the black family unit was actually more stable than the white family unit and to stop that the deep state came in and did what they always do. That is the thing about racism that everyone discounts: actual, hateful, racists cannot help themselves from twisting the knife. Everyone talks a big game about meritocracy, and the people best able to adhere to meritocracy do tend to do better, but if you've got white racists in your ranks, they'll be all too happy to tolerate when blacks do worse of their own accord but should a black rise to challenge that perception they will try to sabotage them.
This sentiment also applies to any bigot vs. any demographic. Yeah, black people when instituted into positions of power, can be hateful of white people, and tolerate when whites do worse of their own accord but also twist the knife in should a white person step up to challenge that racist's perception.

cont. 2. So, as it turns out, humans are supposed to be in the sun. Like all the time. Yeah, sure, stepping into the shade when it's too hot or stepping into some warm clothing or a warm shelter when it's cold, but humans *NEED* sunlight exposure. You really can't do without it or else you pay the toll.
If you have ancestry that's had significant time away from the equator and more toward the poles? You have "flexible mitochondria" which means not only can you get a tan and darken up in the sun the closer you get back to the equator, but if your in a climate with shitty sunlight you can absorb more of it with a lighter complexion the further you leave the equator. Your "flex" also allows for the "inefficient" use of fuel which in reality means that the body is better able at generating it's own heat to better deal with the colder climates. Emphasis on "better." White people aren't immune to frostbite, make no mistake.
Conversely if you have ancestry that lived on or very close to the equator? You do not have flexible mitochondria. You have very efficient mitochondria... which is a blessing and a curse. More prone to feel the ill-effects of lack of sunlight exposure. More given to the ADHD-like effects of being stuck indoors all day with either filtered sunlight or under artificial light as well as the artificial blue light constantly emitting from the tech screens because your body was designed to exist, primarily, in the sunlight throughout the day throughout the year.
You put a black person in an environment that white folks can tolerate like a cubicle in an office? Or a classroom? It's not that it's impossible for a black person to succeed in that environment but they're simply not designed to be so separated from the sun. Neither is the white person, honestly, but because of the flexible mitochondria that environment is *better tolerated* but will *still* drive a person stir-crazy.

cont. That all said, there are many forces in this world that sabotage one's ability to be in the sun, and they come from all sorts of angles one might not expect. For example: Limes. Don't eat them or things containing them. They cause what's known as margarita burns. One last example for the road: do not wear sunglasses. You eye's need to see the bare-naked sunlight to better able signal to the skin to be prepared for UV light. The sunglasses trick your skin to think the intensity of the sun is not what it is and hence massive burns.

Theres many definitions of poverty and wealth. If a country lets say in a war attacks and exploits another country it is left with less resources.
